Stay here every year for a week in the summer with my kids. Cabins are always being improved by owners, new roofs, floors, decks, appliances. Cabins are clean with comfortable beds in a great location on Kootenay Lake. Friendly staff, always enjoy my stay. Rooms: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Location: 5/5

Spent 9 days this summer here, Judy and Randy got us set up at a spot on the Ridge which was so beautiful, amazing views of the lake, so quiet and peaceful! We also utilized the marina which has been all redone with vinyl, you don't get a handful of slivers when docking, you can keep you boat in there with no worries at all. Judy and Randy really make you feel so welcome, they are always happy to help out. I can't wait to spend time there again next summer!

When we arrived, the Hosts, Judy and Randy were right there to greet us. They let us know which cabin was ours and it was a perfect size . It had everything we needed for a perfect stay. It comes with fridge, stove, microwave, 2 queen beds in separate bedrooms, all kitchen necessities, and of course a shower. If needed, it has wi-fi. Just across the roses is a sandy beach. In my opinion, it is a perfect little getaway spot. There was a picnic table to use at each cabin and a couple of chairs on the new deck. Thank you to Judy and Randy. All your hard work on the renovations were fabulous. Highly recommend.

Really impressed with this resort! Cabins have all been renovated and very tastefully decorated. Clean and very cozy. Also, the marina has been completely renovated as well - amazing job Randy! Judy and Randy the hosts are amazing and very friendly. Will make sure you are well taken care of. I highly recommend making this your go-to vacation destination. You won't be disappointed.

I booked a week long vacation with family who stayed in the cabins (they all had nothing but great things to say about the comfort and cleanliness of the space). My wife and I stayed in our travel trailer in the Shady Lane campground space (part of Cedar Point). It was wonderful, the serviced sites have wooden decks, lush grassy areas and phenomenal privacy between campsites. It was also incredibly pleasant to have the sound of the creek throughout our visit, one of the most beautiful campgrounds we have stayed at. Randy and Judy were super helpful with booking and ensuring we had everything we needed while we were there. The beach is about a 10 minute walk from the campground (at my toddlers pace) and the marina is beautiful for sunsets or sunrises. We would certainly stay here again and have recommended it to others because of how great it was! See you next year!

Enjoyed our stay! Very soft bedding and comfy pillows. Just a short walk to a beautiful beach and a nice hiking trail. Friendly people, inexpensive price tag and no crowds. Judy went out of her way to make our holiday enjoyable!

We stayed in one cabin and 1 serviced RV site located beside a beautiful creek. The RV washrooms were very clean and the campground was well kept. The cabins had everything we needed , were clean and were nicely upgraded. Judy addressed any concerns we had very quickly and was friendly and great to chat with! I would stay here again.

This is a true hidden gem. We had 4 families staying here in 3 cabins and one RV site, and I couldn't be happier. The prices are very reasonable, the location is great, the service is top notch (thanks Randy and Judy!) and booking was a breeze. The cabins had everything we could possibly need, and the mattresses were comfier than at most hotels I've stayed in. The only (minor) downside was the boil-water advisory while we were there, but if anything, it made us feel even more like we were getting a true outdoor experience (while sleeping like a king - seriously, those beds are the bomb). The beach is mere steps away, and gas/propane/groceries are only a 10 minute drive down the road. There are nice hiking trails nearby, and it made a great home base for a day trip to Nelson or the hot springs across the ferry. We are already planning dates for next year's visit!

The hosts Randy and Judy are so helpful and friendly. They took care of our group of 5 misfit guys with varying schedules. We were housed in a very clean and well appointed cabin and 1 spacious RV site. The RV washrooms are very clean. The new breakwater and marina are fantastic and easy to access.

We stayed here on a bicycle tour around the Selkirk Loop. The tent sites up in Shady Lane were wonderful with picnic tables, fire rings and the rushing Lockhart Creek very nearby. Our host Judy was so friendly and welcoming. She made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.

What a good experience we had as an Alberta Family. We stayed in our holiday trailer by the cabins as our other family members rented some cabins, we wanted to be close by. The Kootenay Lake water was fantastic, close enough to walk back & forth for bathroom breaks, lunch snacks/water that were forgotten. Lockhart Beach is where we spent most of our time. Paddle boarding was fun, finding the glacier run off spots for refreshing cool waters. We crossed the lake with the ski boat to find a private beach for the day and to find smooth water. There was always smooth water to be found for water skiing and wake boarding. The new owners are friendly and helpful. They are working hard at cleaning up and improving facilities/grounds. Thank you Judy & Randy for be great hosts, hope to come back and make more family memories. Oh, and to see how things are coming along.

Had a great long weekend stay.Cabin was spotlessly clean, had everything we needed and more.Beds, pillows and sheets were top notch quality and comfort.Pretty creekside path to Lockhart Beach.Judy and Randy were great hosts and a pleasure to chat with.See you next time!!

The new owners are wonderful and go over and above for your needs. The stream running through the RV park is absolutely beautiful (we stayed in my moms RV). The lake is a little far (across a road that is pretty busy) but is worth it once you get to the beach. Breathtakingly gorgeous. The one downside I would say is that no pets are allowed and that is the reason we couldn't stay in the cabins. Our family includes our fur baby so that was disappointing but it was still a great stay.

We have our RV here at the shady lane campground for the season. The setting among the cedars is amazing! The staff is very helpful and accommodating. The resort is under New ownership and management and they have been constantly working at upgrading and improving the whole resort! Water and beach access is awesome with a Marina onsite as well! Looking forward to many summers here over the years with our family! There are also newly renovated cabins at the resort we plan on renting for our extended family to come vacation with us….Highly recommend checking it out!

We recently stayed at Cedar Point RV in a newly renovated cabin. The cabin was very clean, perfect for our little family vacation. The location is amazing as you can walk right across the road to access the beach. Our hosts were welcoming, and friendly. We enjoyed our stay and cant wait to be back again!

We brought our camper down and Judy and Randy were so helpful and personable, we couldn’t thank them enough!! Then we purchased our new camper and we had to move some power lines and do all sorts of weird things, and there they were again super helpful!! We really appreciate them ❤️ So far our summer has been amazing! We also ran out of propane one night and realized our tanks were expired by 2 months so we couldn’t have them filled, again Judy and Randy to the rescue! They brought us a bottle to use until we grabbed a new one, couldn’t ask for better campground hosts!! They have absolutely turned into great friends ❤️ 10 out of 10 would absolutely camp here again!!!.

I would definitely stay there again! The owners were very kind and accommodating. The campsites were gorgeous! Lush, earthy, right next to a beautiful river. The washroom was clean and modern. There is no shower or cell reception at the sites.

I had heard of wonderful family vacations on Kootenay Lake, and I wanted to experience one for myself! We stayed in three newly renovated cabins, with an adjacent RV site, perfect for our large family. We were also able to moor our boat in their marina right across the road; so convenient. We had a marvellous time! From the well stocked kitchen to the cozy double rooms, Cedar Point is Kootenay Lake’s best-kept secret! Thank you again, Randy and Judy, for your hospitality.

Our family has been staying at this resort for many years now. The new owners are very friendly and are working very hard to bring the resort back to life. The cabins have been newly renovated and look great! With the new marina coming as well, this is a great place to spend a weekend or the whole summer!

Cedar point RV and Marina is under new management and the new owners are so accommodating and kind! The cabins are so cute and fully stocked with towels and cook wear. Our large family rented out 3 cabins and it was such a great time. Kootney lake is gorgeous! This place is a hidden gem 10/10 reccomend!!

We had a great experience at Cedar Point. The cabin was the perfect size for myself and my three kids, they had all the cooking necessities to make meals, a fridge etc. The cabin was cool in the middle of august because we kept the blackout blinds down and the windows open, as well as the tree cover so we weren't too hot. Wifi for when I needed to check emails, and a TV with netflix for the kids after a long day of playing at the lake. The staff were super friendly and accomodating. I would recommend this place for any family and we'll be back next summer.

Very nice campground, quiet, clean, and not to big. If your looking for a great little campgound on the east side of kootenay lake, this is it. Our hosts where very friendly and helpful, and made our stay enjoyable.
